I have about $300 worth of gift cards to best buy. Should i use it to buy the iPad or PS3 and xbox games?

first of all ipads are 500$ not 300$
The ipad is stupid. Its an ipod touch with a bigger screen. Buy ps3 games instead.

The iPad, much like most apple products, will probably have glitches in it’s first generation, it’s like $500 dollars, and you can get plenty of games for that amount, and even then, I think you’d have to purchase memory or some sort of plan from AT&T, but I’m not sure.
If you buy PS3 games, you may get bored of them after a few months. I think the iPad could be more useful in long term. The iPad is a device that can be used for watching video, photos, checking emails, going to the Internet, etc. I do think it is a great device to have.
Just check for latest information of iPad here from time to time, and see the actual user reviews when it actually comes out. Quite probably Amazon will be selling it at a cheaper price too:

If you are a gamer and love your PS3, get games. You will enjoy them way more than you ever will the iPad.
On the other hand if you are not so hot on games and look for a new electronic toy to impress people, the iPad might be a good go.
What would I do? I like the iPad, it is a cool item, but it is much like the first generation iPhone. Cool with a but…. Even you get it now, it will take time to get apps to play on the iPad with. In a year from now the next iPad is out with lots of apps to choose from.
I would get PS3 games, enjoy the game time and enter all the free contest to have a chance to win an iPad. I might be lucky and win…. (^_^)//
